When drawing my graph IE9 stumbles over en Error (see summary).

As everything is working as expected in Opera, Chrome and FF, I suppose this 
might be an IE prevents flot from drawing in IE ...

This issue was not found in flot-0.7 release version, but in svn-revision 342 
...

The master branch uses canvas text instead of HTML.  This may move into a 
plug-in, or become optional, before the next release.

For now, this issue is a reminder to test against IE and other browsers that 
may not support the canvas text API natively.
