Any thoughts on a jquery-less version of this plugin?

not from me, but the whole lib has good potential of integration into many things :-)

Hi,

I had already started playing a bit with a non jQuery Version. I would like to have on file which supports everything without adding to much code.

But I didn't have time yet to finish a working version, maybe I will start a branch and try to get some results so people can play with it.

That sounds good, I've perusing the code myself it doesn't seem that there's too much tied down to jquery and it has come along way since v1.0.0

Thinking about de-jquery-izing it myself for a project

OK, then I would start the branch later today and work a bit on that. You can try it out then and maybe also help me with feedback and/or pull requests.

Didn't have a lot of time at the end of last year, but I started some days ago again. Big rewrite, so a lot of stuff needs to be done.

I'm getting closer to the 2.0 release. You can checkout the nojquery branch and try it. Just pushed a few commits.

Whats left is mainly testing, fixing placeholders and updating the readme and examples. Hope I can get that done fast.
