1.14 install on Mac OS 14.3.1 doesn't discover

Windows 11 didn't discover my Mac OS 14.3.1 with WSDD 1.14. Installed WSDD 1.13 and Windows discovers.

Windows 10 doesn't discover my Mac OS 14.5 installed both 1.13 and 1.14 with no luck.

How is the daemon installed: standalone, homebrew or macports?
Is it actually running, e.g. do you see wsddn in the list of running processes?
What do you see in the daemon log:

this was using the standalone installer and this is of v1.13

Ok so I double and tripple-checked and 1.14 on macOS 14.5 either Intel or Apple Silicon works fine with Windows 11 23H2. So does 1.13 (there is in fact no difference in behavior between 1.14 and 1.13 on Mac OS apart from that bogus "No wsa:Address" message you see in the log being removed). I also don't see anything in either of your logs to indicate any problem.

Just to rule out something simple: did you try to press F5 (refresh) in Windows Explorer network view when it didn't appear to work? Windows sometimes takes a bit to re-discover things and force-refresh can speed things up.

If the problem still persists despite refreshing could you

Edit /etc/wsddn.conf file and set
```
log-level = 6
```
there.

Then restart the daemon:

sudo launchctl kill HUP system/io.github.gershnik.wsddn

and collect the logs again.

This should collect detailed debug and trace info to hopefully shed light on what might be the issue.

@svndco In your case the network interfaces look unusual. There is no en0 and the rest don't look like real connected interfaces to me. What network is the Windows machine on? Is Mac on the same network via WiFi or wired connection?
