I currently don't have a lot of time, my wife and I are just expecting our second child, but I would invite you to use the map files that I already created. Once you get started with the project and have the first few rooms implemented, I might have a bit more time available and I might be able to provide you with more maps.
I can't promise anything, but I will try my best.
I would love to walk around the station with my friends! 😄
Hey I'm really impressed with your maps and attention to detail about Samus mechanics. I'm porting my game engine to support the web and wanted a mini side project to do that with. Metroid fusion came to mind and then I found your project.
I was thinking about just making the top of the station explorable with accurate Samus mechanics and HUD as close to the metroid fusion game as possible. Then I wanted to let other users join (they can beam down through the ship lol) and make it "online".
I don't want to add enemies to it yet - just explore the station with your friends, open some doors, and have everything else but. It might sound boring but also being able to explore the station with no enemies would be pretty chill. If there's more interest I can find more people to help out. I'm pretty good at doing that.
For your involvement, I'd like to ask maybe you make all the room maps? You're really good at it and I expect that you might have some more "know-how" for how the in-game mechanics work just based off your grapple and turning code. It feels really spot on! I can do the rest of the coding.
