I have been having some issues with the mp4 conversion stage of get_iplayer on a dell inspiron 14 running Linux Mint 18.04 64-bit with 4gb RAM. Short of trying to modify the nice value it would be good to have a command line option to limit cpu resources for this stage (not the download part).
