Copy Paste Not working properly in Chat Window #1106

Open seandearnaley opened 11 months ago

seandearnaley commented 11 months ago

I'm using a mac m2 pro, nothing special about my config but the chat panel somehow doesn't allow copy and paste using key commands, it's very annoying, disruptive because I need to be able to copy and paste items from the code

Hi! Definitely want to fix this.

To help me reproduce:

  1. Do you mean that cmd-C/cmd-V are not working?
  2. What version are you on? You can find this with "Cursor > About Cursor" in the top bar.

Came here to second this, I have text in my Mac OS clipboard and using cmd-V doesn't work, right-clicking gives no option to paste. This was the first thing I tried to do was paste an error from my log and it can't do that.

Here is my version config: Version: 0.18.5 VSCode Version: 1.84.2 Commit: 23e4a35b958128d799597f309a7f42dd50d007c0 Date: 2023-12-06T02:52:23.651Z (1 day ago) Electron: 25.9.2 ElectronBuildId: undefined Chromium: 114.0.5735.289 Node.js: 18.15.0 V8: 11.4.183.29-electron.0 OS: Darwin arm64 22.4.0

Same issue here:

Restarting Cursor seems to fix it at times.

FYI, if I select text in the chat window (say all of Cursor's response, highlighting all of it) and copy it with Cmd-C, the resulting copy is only partial.

For example, when selecting the text shown in this screenshot...

... in effect I only got this:

Based on the diff file you've provided, I can give you an overview of the changes and their significance:
1. Spacing and compound words:
Some words that were previously separated are now combined, e.g., "jīn tiān" to "jīntiān", "tiān qì" to "tiānqì", "zhè gè" to "zhège", "dì fāng" to "dìfāng". This reflects a more standard way of writing these compound words in Pinyin.
Punctuation:
There are a few changes in punctuation, mostly from Chinese full-stops (。) to Western full-stops (.). This seems to be a standardization choice.
Capitalization:
Some sentences now start with a capital letter, e.g., "zhè" to "Zhè". This follows standard capitalization rules for sentences.
Character corrections:
There are a few character corrections, such as "zhǐ" to "zhī" for "bird", which is the correct character.
Word segmentation:
Some words are now segmented differently, e.g., "Lādīng zìmǔ" to "Ladingzimu", "yī zhǒng" to "yīzhǒng". This seems to be a choice in how to represent these terms in Pinyin.
6. Tonal marks:
There's one instance where a tonal mark changed: "Luómǎníyà" to "Luómǎníyǎ", which is a correction for the country name Romania.
Full Pinyin representation:
Some entries that were previously in plain text without tonal marks are now fully represented in Pinyin with tones, e.g., "Keluodiya yu" to "Keluodiya yǔ".
These changes are meaningful as they represent a more standardized and accurate representation of Chinese Pinyin. The corrections in tones, character choices, and word segmentation improve the overall quality and consistency of the transliterations. The capitalization and punctuation changes align more closely with standard writing conventions.
The modifications you made to get_prompt by adding the name of the transcription system seem to have resulted in these improvements, leading to more accurate and standardized Pinyin representations.

On the other hand, using the Copy Message button at the bottom works fine.
