Came here to say this.
Is ChromeOS somehow supported, despite this?
On more careful read of the earlier post, I found the file, which can be run from within linux subsystem. Looking good so far!

Issue 1: Downloading on ChromeOS
When I click the "Download for Free" Button on ChromeOS I get a Download for "Cursor Mac Installer.zip"
The Payload for the request is being sent as
{platform: 3}
I was able to get around it by manually pasting
https://downloader.cursor.sh/linux/appImage/x64
in the address bar which I found here:Issue 2: Cursor Closes when Clicking Update on AppImage
As soon as I clicked update, I didn't expect cursor to close. It did nothing. Didn't even redirect to a page to get the update.
Issue 3: Need to Manually Update AppImages
I previously used an app image that was able to self-update. If something like that could be included for cursor that would prevent having to deal with the issues above and then remove the old appimage, add the new one to /opt and update the permissions.
