Hi, I'm confused on the issue. Does the AppImage not download, or not execute correctly?

If you are struggling to install Cursor from an AppImage file, you can try to follow a guide like this: https://itsfoss.com/use-appimage-linux/

@danperks Fair. My complaint was about the Cursor website not giving additional context about what an AppImage is, which is why I called thhe website incomplete . Absolutely no additional context that I could see. Just "Download this File". - end of transaction. In my opinion, this is a growing trend in software development and it reeks of arrogance and exclusivity. I don't know what an AppImage. I've been working in web dev for 25+ years, so i'm not dumb. I just have way more personal challenges than most people. I do not have time to go on a wild goose chase to try and "test out" this new software. If you do not care about my needs, why should I care about you?

I googled AppImage. I set it as an executable. I did not work. My coworker got his to execute no problem. Again, without any additional context, why should I care? I got more stressful things to worry about. (I eventually found the time to understand that i needed some additional library...)

I can appreciate the challenge to providing documentation to a large, general audience. But c'mon, can you at least state some prerequiset knowledge? can you at least state your target audience so I know what I am getting myselfr into?

and again, the web link you sent is incomplete and outdated, which is why it should be the software developer's responsibility to support its users. here is a link with better info https://itsfoss.com/cant-run-appimage-ubuntu/
