The DittoTools app’s main menu currently lists all available tools without a clear structure, which makes it difficult for users to quickly identify and access specific features. This issue applies to all platforms that DittoTools supports. To improve the user experience, we need to:
Review and finalize the names of all existing tools.
Define the order in which tools should appear in the menu for better usability (e.g., by functionality, frequency of use, or another logical grouping).
Propose and finalize the name for the new tool that will allow users to test mesh health.
Update the UI to reflect these changes.
Proposed Changes:
Tool Naming: Ensure all tool names are consistent, descriptive, and intuitive.
Tool Order: Group tools logically (e.g., Networking Tools, Sync Tools, etc.) or prioritize by importance.
New Tool Naming: The mesh health tool needs a name that clearly indicates its function. A few suggestions include:
“Local Peer Health Check”
“Mesh Diagnostic Tool”
“Mesh Connectivity Tester”
UI Layout: Reorganize the menu to reflect the finalized tool names and order.
Acceptance Criteria:
Finalized and agreed-upon names for all tools.
Logical and user-friendly ordering of tools in the menu.
Mesh health tool named and added to the menu.
UI updated on all platforms to reflect these changes.
Please provide input on the tool names and ordering, and we can proceed with implementing the UI updates.
