rich text/wysiwyg editor? #3753

will there ever be a proper, built-in wysiwyg editor for grav?

i don't know what's going on with the NextGen editor, but it appears it isn't available (nor am i willing to lay out $50 if it were)

i'm aware of the tinymce plug, but development has stalled and it's not as tightly integrated with grav as i'd like

Nextgen is still in limbo while we wait for licensing agreements with CKSource.. NextGen is the only first-party WYSIWYG editor because it handles the converting Grav's native markdown format back and forth from HTML. TinyMCE editor just creates and saves HTML which will not work with other Grav 'markdown' friendly plugins (Shortcodes, Grav's own markdown extensions, etc).
