Hi. Check your data. Does the original item belongs to a valid K2 category. Also since this has to do with integration of a third party extension asking to their support forum would be a good idea.
hello, thanks for your interrest i tried again with a new category and only one extrafield text type to check, but there is the same issue
as I found the message "K2_PLEASE_SELECT_A_CATEGORY_FIRST_TO_RETRIEVE_ITS_RELATED_EXTRA_FIELDS" went from the file : plugin/jostta_ext/k2items/fields/k2extrafield.php
I thought it was an issue for K2 devs, but I can write to the forum of josetta too.
Have you selected a category for the translated item? You need to first select the category and then you will see the assigned extra fields.
Hi, of course I choosed a category ! and it proposed me the K2 categories to choose in english but extrafields not showing in the original language (french) nor user alias !

hello, i found this issue was reported last year https://code.google.com/p/getk2/issues/detail?id=361 will it be repaired soon ?

so there is a misfit in the loading of extrafields for the french category aand then the program doesnt find it for the translations.
Josetta integration plugins wii be removed from the next version .

I just installed josetta on joomla 3.1.5 and k2 2.6.7 and tried to translate a k2 item ! it was first impossible to save. i went on josetta forum and found out there was a k2 dev version that repaired it
so I tried it and the saving was possible.
though there is a new problem with extrafield : it seems empty in the original language and is impossible to copy because it ask to set a category that is not available.
so the translation has been created WITHOUT the extrafields that is not useful !
