@Inrego thank you for updating the PR!

When the tooling becomes available it is a good idea to target .Net Standard 2.0 (it replaces PCLs for building multiplatform libraries)

@inrego see https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/dotnet/2016/09/26/introducing-net-standard/ and https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/dotnet/2016/07/15/net-core-roadmap/ but TL;DR it will take to at least Q1 2017 before we can use that (even though .net 4.6.1 will be equal to .net standard 2.0)
