Azure DevOps integration: Assign area from the "new issue" form #29820

Problem Statement

Coming from Linear, I'm used to ability to select a team right when i create a new issue from Sentry. This feature is missing in Azure DevOps integration. In Azure it's called "areas", and it would be super helpful to be able to select one right from the form. Otherwise right now it all goes to the main project, and we need to manually triage it afterwards.

@tonyganch appreciate the feedback! It may make sense to either include common fields or dynamically render fields based on what's available in the Azure Devops project.

Going to add this to the backlog, although we likely won't have the bandwidth to address this in the near term. Will keep this thread updated.

Any updates here? It would also be nice to be able to control other required custom fields when creating a work item through Sentry. Related to #46856

We don't have any updates for this currently, We'll update the issue if we work on this in the future

Adding tags to azure devops work items is in high demand :)

Thank you for the feedback. Improving external issues in general is an item we have in mind. It is not prioritized right now but this is a good example. Will add to the backlog.
