@sergiosentry Jira has 20-30 field types and their payload does not tell what field type to use- So there is a good deal of work that goes behind inferring this.
Could you please ask the customer for more details on what field types they use most often

Would love to be able to create Alerts which create Jira Tickets in our existing Project. I however get this error

Thanks for adding more context. There has been no update though we've been actively working on improving Jira experience. Will add this to the backlog to get back to it.
Problem Statement
There are use cases where JIRA boards might have configured custom required fields that developers use to efficiently identify and triage issues.
Currently, Sentry does not support creating tickets from an Issue view on those boards that have custom required fields (reference)
This has been requested in the past in https://github.com/getsentry/sentry/issues/46181 and https://github.com/getsentry/sentry/issues/45931
