Jira + Sentry Integration to be compatible with Jira Data Center #59381

Problem Statement

Currently Jira integration is only usable with Cloud version in uploading data from Sentry to Jira. Customer is using a Data Center solution and because of high usage they are concerned that if they try and use Sentry public API to load this data they will be rate limited (which limit cannot be modified/increased).

Solution Brainstorm

Make integration usable for Jira Data Center solution as well

We've been chatting with the Atlassian team about this and we're awaiting some confirmations to be able to triage this issue better.

We spoke with the Atlassian team about this. Sentry's Jira Server Integration is built using Application Links - Such integrations are supported by Jira DC already.

Sentry's Jira Server integration should be able to integrate with Jira DC. I am keeping this issue open in case a customers tries setting this up and faces any challenges

We try to connect our self-hosted sentry with our self-hosted jira-datacenter. The screens in the documentation don't match the screens we face in the applications: in jira we see: grafik

in sentry we see: grafik

we use jira data-center-edition, version 9.12.5, sentry is on 24.3.0

Sorry could you clarify. Is there plans to fix this issue or is it an unsupported feature?

Hello. Unfortunately, you can assume Jira Data Center to be unsupported until further notice. We'd like to maintain it but the team does not have sufficient bandwidth at the moment to take on this scope.
