Tested and was able to build on Solus. But timeshift will not run due to no crontab system being in place.
While this adds it to the repo for installation, timeshift has to be updated to support systemd timers and LinuxMint has had a PR for this since May 2023 that was originally submitted to the original repo back in 2021. (See https://github.com/linuxmint/timeshift/pull/190)
If accepted, it may never work as intended until these changes are done by LinuxMint and/or their contributors.
I am researching the possibility of cloning the repo and providing a special Solus version of Timeshift to solve the issues and allow it to work without hickups.
After reviewing the code and seeing that its too hard-coded for the old crontab system and would require some major rewriting which I don't have time to work on. Sorry, but I don't see Linux Mint updating this anytime soon themselves either.
