Why should this be included in the repository?

becasue we have btrfs. no good to anyone without a rollback feature

Are we allowed to redistribute it?

On UEFI installations, we use systemd-boot, which, as far as I understand it, means that BTRFS snapshots can't be used anyway.

Thanks for the request. I have approved it, but take care to provide the license and source code link next time.

We have btrbk in the repository, so this is already possible (just not with a UI).
