writing image #201

Does Balena Etcher needs to be used for writing an umbrel-os image to an sd card for boot of rpi4? There is a native Pi OS (debian) image writing tool called R Pi OS Imager or Imager, or one can use dd command, without having yet another binary doing something as root...right? If alternate image writing method can be indeed used, can it be added in the documentation/readme?
Wouldn't it make sense to have hash/checksum of the downloaded image to prevent any mischief?

BalenaEtcher caused issues for me, I used the Raspberry Pi Imager to write the Umbrel-OS and it worked fine.
