After a recent commit 8e8b70010d83a5b883f7d0e00e1bda0b323940fb, the highlight groups set in colors/*.vim are override by the default link. It seems that the use of highlight! default link will make a highlight group have both original settings and the linked one,
and the linked one dominates.
