Purpose of code changes on this branch:

 bring most recent fixes from trunk over to this branch - their details can be seen in trunk log

When reviewing my code changes, please focus on:

 - approaching flag slider no longer seems to have any effect
 - deploying RTNEAT a second time slows things down dramatically - is there something running twice?

After the review, I'll merge this branch into:
/trunk
