roadplan to v1.9 #117

i would like to have a thread for the next major release again. there is a corresponding milestone for this release.

i would like to implement in v1.9:

any other suggestions?

LudovicRousseau commented 11 years ago

My main problem with the account setting is that I would like to copy-paste the password and URL from my KeePassX Android application. But if I quit the account creation I have to start again. So it is not possible to copy-paste 2 information but only 1. So having the possibility to half-fill the account settings (and complete the account on a second step) would be nice.

I do not see DAViCal in the list of compatible servers. Is it supposed to be compatible?

timoberger commented 11 years ago

davical should be fully supported with v1.8. see [1] about the account creation: i am using KeePassDroid and i am able to switch between KeePass and the account creation page without any trouble.

How about an option to create a logfile? This might be helpful when debugging.

timoberger commented 11 years ago

i had been thinking about this. the best solution would be a own server (or a domain with scripts and a db). users could upload their last debugs from the settings menu (shall come in v1.9). what are you thinking about this?

timoberger commented 11 years ago

is there anyone willing to test the pre-releases for V1.9?

LudovicRousseau commented 11 years ago

I do not yet use AndroidCaldavSyncAdapater (funny typo in AdapAter) in a production environment so I can test beta versions.

leaf-node commented 11 years ago

how about downloading the list of calendars in a collection, before syncing them? (see https://github.com/gggard/AndroidCaldavSyncAdapater/issues/115#issuecomment-25715468)

leaf-node commented 11 years ago

i also nominate #121

timoberger commented 11 years ago

i will be on vacation the next week. :-) have a nice time with your calendars.

regards

timo

I would like to see Shibboleth and/or Kerberos support for login. (https://github.com/cconlon/kerberos-java-gssapi). Actually, both would be nice.

qwc commented 11 years ago

In my own case: What about better owncloud and ssl compatibility? @timoberger did you already test on my owncloud instance? You did not tell me the results. :(

timoberger commented 11 years ago

@qwc I hope i didn't mix up the users. did you just receive an mail from me?

qwc commented 11 years ago

Err, ahm, no. Only the one just that informed me about that my nickname was mentioned in your post. ;)

shrkz commented 10 years ago

I would like to see an option to limit time range of synchronization, e.g. all future events and 2 weeks back. That keeps the sync time short even though there are hundreds of events in the calendar.

LudovicRousseau commented 10 years ago

@shrkz Maybe it would be simpler to have a program that removes (or archives or move to another calendar) old events from the calendar(s) on the server. I am also interested in such a program but could not find one after some research.

How about compatibility with Open-Xchange (1and1 MailXchange, Host Europe, mailbox.org, etc)? I'm just testing it a bit but wondering if this was tested already.
