In addition to #8 Disaster Types, we can also discuss on Data Types we can work on.

Vector Data

Topographic maps or any other data. In principle, vector data are sourced from Member State authorities such as National Geospatial Information Authorities (NGIAs)

Satellite Imagery

NGIAs are the authoritative sources. In addition, we have global open elevation models.

I would add to this list:

Data gathered specifically with coordinates attached (e.g. through Mobile Apps)
Data gathered that can be attached to vector features (e.g. Pcoded Administrative divisions or placenames, other specific features such as schools, health facilities, border crossings). This could include humanitarian presence (who is doing what and where)

And for the existing headings:

Under Vector data I would suggest:

Population total/density and other demographic data from census or surveys (e.g. household survey)
Critical Facilities - health facilities, education facilities, shelters, cultural buildings, police stations, fire stations, community centres,
Amenities and communications - electricity generation and distribution, water supply, distribution and sewerage, gas supply and distribution,
Transport networks - not just the topographic roads but bus/tram/train/ferry routes, Ports, Airports, helicopter landing sites (actual and potential)
Logistics data - storage - warehouses/jetties, transhipment points... networks - blockages/road weight limits/bridge clearances
Protection sites - sea walls, levees, landslide walls,
Preparedness - Evacuation routes, Urban Search and Rescue sectors, Coordination centres, Bases of operation, logistics hubs
Security - incident reporting, security zones
Emergency drivers - earthquake epicentre, storm track, volcanos and lava flows, pyroclastic impact zones
Historical data on past emergencies
Solid waste management sites, emergency debris management sites.

Under other types of Raster data (some of which are satellite or UAV derived, but could also be vector in some cases):

Risk and Hazard Layers - single issue and multi-hazard (storm surge areas, flood risk zones, landslide risks, liquefaction zones,
Early Warning Layers - fires, drought predictors, storm surge predictors, tsunami predictor, pest forecasting,
meteorological data - rainfall forecast, cumulative rainfall, snowfall,
bathymetry and benthic surface mapping

Any geospatial data related to disaster prevention, response and post disaster reconstruction are useful:

The fundamental geospatial data : the basemap which is integrated with vector data, image data and elevation data.
The on-site geospatial data of disaster area: UAV image, arerial photo, Lidar data, InSAR data, 3D models....
Thematic data: natural disaster distribution, meteorology, landcover, social and ecnomic statistic data....
