Hi. Just a quick report - trying to tag this: https://catapulterecords.bandcamp.com/album/catapulte-war-grooves Discogger (latest, "Author: dayuyu Version: 1.0.21.1 Compiled: Sep 13 2024 fb2k SDK: 20230923 80" ) goes into a complete freeze (shen seemingly attempting to pre-fetch the artist / i.e. before being able to insert the url / id - or rather, inputting the ID works, but nothing happens and then the UI completely locks up).

ps. tried to just rename the metadata to not Various Artists. And it still freezes briefly, but the pre fetch window disappears aftyer a few seconds, after which I was then able to tag it with this https://www.discogs.com/release/1726420-Various-Catapulte-War-Grooves

Hi, thanks for reporting.

goes into a complete freeze (seemingly attempting to pre-fetch the artist / i.e. before being able to insert the url / id - or rather, >inputting the ID works, but nothing happens and then the UI completely locks up).

I tested those nine tracks and release ID but I was not able to replicate this issue, no complete lockups nor freezes. Enabling or disabling the auto-search and auto-load searching preferences made no difference. Nothing unexpected in the console messages (SSD was ready, CPU load below 50%).

ps. tried to just rename the metadata to not Various Artists. And it still freezes briefly, but the pre fetch window disappears aftyer a few seconds, after which I was then able to tag it with this

In my experience, mostly using very basic layouts/visualizations, undemanding DSP chains and low bitrates, freezes of approx. 200 milliseconds are expected behavior (neither rare, nor exclusive to this component in particular). I would suggest, if you have not done it already, to discard specific bugs related to the Catapulte release in a fresh portable installation. Cheers!
