It looks like the delegation on config closures changed with gradle 2.0. This is causing the "delete" to be resolved to Project.delete() rather than the method on the task. I'll probably just change the method to something like "deleteJob" in the next version.
In the meantime, you can work around it with something like this:
task deleteJob(type: DeleteJenkinsItemsTask) { task ->
jenkins.servers.each { server ->
task.delete(server, "demo job")
}
}
The custom delete task throws org.gradle.internal.typeconversion.UnsupportedNotationException. A similar update task is working.
