Froyo: wifi fails to scan #169

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open wireless settings
2. Enable wifi
3. Wait while it scans for networks

Expected to see access point
Instead of that it shows "Unable to scan" and disables WiFi completely
Adding AP manually doesn't help

An interesting thing is that in advanced wifi settings there is no MAC address
at all

Please, more detail, build version, type of AP if you know and so.
I could not reproduce the problem. Wifi scan for networks well and work at both
my typical point: home network and work network.
I has no MAC address in advanced settings as well.

After reboot I was unable to reproduce that bug and WiFi scan is done without a
problem

Closing the issue since Alexandre and Valerii were both unable to reproduce the
problem.

It also happened to me on the first boot with the following details
- android-on-freerunner-froyo-sd-201104.tar.gz
- WPA2 PSK off a Linksys WAG200G.

After a reboot, the problem went away. So, it could be an issue that appears on
the first ever boot.
