2u.com and getsmarter.com #319

Description: Access to cdn.cookielaw.org is being blocked on 2U.com and GetSmarter.com. The issue appears to relate to ad-blocking, as it is even happening with Never-Consent turned off. This prevents the cookie banner from loading and the user from accessing the cookie preferences window to manage their cookies.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Visit 2u.com or getsmarter.com with never-consent turned OFF and ad blocking turned ON.
  2. Note that banner does not load and clicking "Your Privacy Choices" does not bring up the privacy center. Note that cdn.cookielaw.org is being blocked.

  1. Turn off ad-blocking in Ghostery.
  2. Note that the banner and "Your Privacy Choices" link operate as intended.

Thank you for reporting @alumby. I've manage to reproduce the problem. Both cookie pop-ups are closed, but when I want to open Onetrust Cookie pop-up by clicking "Your Privacy Choices" link at the bottom of the page, nothing is happening.

Description: "Your Privacy Choices" link at the bottom do not open window to manage their cookies.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open https://2u.com and scroll to the bottom
  2. Try to click "Your Privacy Choices" link image (2)

Expected Results: Webpage should work normally.

Versions: Browser: Firefox 114.0.2 OS: Windows 10 Pro 19045.2965 GBE 8.10.3

  1. For https://www.getsmarter.com/ seems to work fine, I cannot reproduce on:

I actually pushed a fix to Ghostery filters 3 days ago. However, I'm leaving a message because it requires manual testing on Safari + review on the filter.
