I have AVG Internet Security and experienced the same. I think the domain gib.me was blacklisted on these virus applications and therefore access is blocked to http://gib.me/sam/games.xml when starting SAM.
Opening the link on a PC with Microsoft Defender, I was able to access the URL without issues. The file is an XML is a list of Steam game IDs.
I would think that the SAM application should be updated to use the HTTPS version of the URL.
The exe files disappear from the installed folder, because the antivirus programs quarantines the files, you can then submit the executable file for analysis to determine if it was a false positive.

Oh, so in order to use it normally, I have to disable avast? It won't give me any problems, right? Also thanks for your reply!

can you please tell me if it has any harm on your device because i face the same problem and i don't want to take a risk
I have always used it without any problems despite having avast, but tonight it stopped working, avast neutralises SAM as it considers it a URL:Blacklist, once SAM is closed the file in the folder is no longer there. However I've never run into this problem before, can it be fixed somehow? I'm unsure about deactivating avast and trying to open it without it, because, as mentioned above, this has never happened to me despite avast. SAM opens and I don't see any games, just one, and I can't do any action as it gives me an error. What should I do about it?
