MIDI input not working #20

I'm trying to record notes via MIDI input. In the "pattern" view, I press "record", ensure that the playhead is on a pitch column then press a key on my MIDI keyboard nothing happens. If I press play the red "recording" light turns on but still pressing keys on my MIDI keyboard does nothing.

FWIW I am using Linux with the ALSA MIDI driver.

The record switch allows the cursor to follow the playhead while playing but it's not required to write notes in a pattern :)

About your midi keyboard, did you set it as midi input in the context menu (right click) ? It works just like the fundamental VCV midi to cv.
