I can confirm that the extension does not work as expected anymore. The
inspection, indeed, reveals the X-Frame-Options is likely the cause.
I certainly recommend to mark this issue as blocker.

Mee too W7 64bits, Versión 24.0.1312.52 m
A couple of days ago it was working, even in my laptop and job's destop
computer. Now it only works in my iphone.
I have also tried to install other extensions: Better Google Task, with the
same issue.

I tried to install other extensions too but it doesn't work for me. I think it
started happening when I installed Google Chrome on my desktop and I had to
re-install and reauthorize all of the extensions again. Is that what happened
to you guys?

I just installed it for the first time today and it didn't work at all. It's
not like it used to work and then suddenly stopped. It's DOA

I installed all Google Task Extensions but not one of all functions.

I can also confirm that the clicking the icon opens an empty list without any
possibility to add, delete or view any tasks. Entering "t" in the URL field to
add tasks does however work.
The Google Tasks extension worked perfectly before Chrome updated to
24.0.1312.52 m. It was not until after the update it stopped working.
Unfortunately it doesn't work with the latest update either (24.0.1312.56 m).

Same issue, and it also coincided with the availability of the last update. I
was using "Better Google Tasks" extension and it went blank. I downloaded the
official plug-in to see if it would work and it's also blank at this point.

Same issue here. It does not work anymore on any version of the Chrome browser
for me. Tried on the latest version and an old Version 22 that had not updated
on an older laptop.

This seems to be a change on Google’s side. Now, the tasks page comes back
with X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN which tells browsers not to display the page
in a frame if the page isn’t on the same domain.
Unfortunately, I think we’re boned until Google removes the header. As a
disappointing workaround, you can browse directly to
https://mail.google.com/tasks/canvas .

Good post jklosin.
For me, running the latest public release of Chrome, and using the app "Better
Google Tasks" the issue is now resolved.
I am assuming it should be resolved for all other apps including the official
GTask app, because I doubt the developer of the app I use resolved it this
quickly.

Thanks conw! It's also working again for me, looks like Google removed the
header. Woohoo!

Is it just me or is it faster? It used to take a few seconds to render. So
far it is instant.

Google Tasks 1.0 extension
Google Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63 m
Windows 7 Pro 64bit SP1
The Google Tasks extension icon appears in the Chrome browser. I have been
using the Google Tasks extension for several months. Sometimes the To Do panel
works and at other times it is a blank white area.
When Google Tasks works, it is a very useful product. But these blank panel
occurrences are very annoying.
