mpc - bad format? #2

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. upload an mpc file to your sdcard
2. mount it
3. start playing it in the player

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The file is handled properly and played ;)
"Bad or unsupported format" message.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 1.5 on htc hero.

Please provide any additional information below.
I believe it maybe an issue of the file being encoded using SV8 musepack
standard. Any chance to handle the latest format? Thanks in advance!

Thank you, I'm aware of that.
As of now, only v.7 mpc files are supported.
The support of v.8 format is planned for near future.

Same Issue Here man, on Archos 5 IMT 1.7 (custom build of donut) Don't you need
extra
hands by the way? I'm still beggining with android, but I have some experience
programming in other languages

SV8 is supported in rockbox now. Is there any chance this can be ported to
andless?

I'm also interested in the answer to oopsicrappe's question: "SV8 is supported

Also deadbeef player support sv8. Project member say that "v.8 format is
planned for near future" about year ago and v.8 still don't work.

Thank you for pointing me out deadbeef, it works with sv8 files, but it is
still not stable enough (alfa). I'll follow it's development, though.
