In the document

$GTHOME/techdoc/admin/weekly/2007/Meeting_2007-04-30.jspwiki

there's a link to some old speller test results. The link used to point to the old location of the test results file, but even after it has been updated to:

/doc/proof/spelling/testing/sme/mw/typos/20070425-typos.summary.html

it does not work. We need to test whether this is true of all test result links, or under what conditions this is true. The new links have worked locally using 'forrest run'.

The bug is caused by a missing Forrest plugin:

no.divvun.forrest.plugin.input.proofingTestResults

It is our own plugin, added locally to each project. In theory it should be deployed/installed automatically by Forrest when Forrest finds that the plugin is required, but it is not, for whatever reason.

Since the plugin is not installed/deployed, Forrest doesn't find the corresponding source file, which gives the behaviour described in the original bug report.

Plugin list loaded from file:////usr/local/forrest/plugins/plugins.xml. Plugin list loaded from file:////usr/local/forrest/whiteboard/plugins/whiteboard-plugins.xml. Plugin list loaded from file:////Users/sjur/langtech/main/xtdoc/techdoc/plugins/plugins.xml.

(ie all plugin descriptions are found, including our local one).

fetch-local-unversioned-plugin:

get-local: Trying to locally get no.divvun.forrest.plugin.input.proofingTestResults Looking in local /usr/local/forrest/plugins Looking in local /usr/local/forrest/whiteboard/plugins

Ie ant/Forrest is not looking in the relevant dir for the source files, and is thus unable to install/deploy it.

As of r38492 the plugin is built and deployed automatically on all our major sites. The page linked to in the original bug report is automatically built when using 'forrest run', but it is still not built on the xserve:

/doc/proof/spelling/testing/sme/mw/typos/20070425-typos.summary.html

which seems strange to me.

The reason is of course that the symlink to 'proof' (ie $GTBIG)) within techdoc is not in svn.

This will be fixed by a general makeover for all proofing docs.

Don't close a bug before discussing it with the asignee or other stakeholders, or providing tests that documents that it has been fixed. Being old doesn't mean being irrelevant or obsolete.

The proofing techdoc has been cleaned, and the link creation is added to the gtsetup.sh scripts.
