Created attachment 164 English text when in myv.wikipedia.org

Visiting myv.wikipedia.org pages I select the valks plugin on my browser. When the Á-box appears, I can see only myv/eng, myv/fin and myv/rus dictionary possibilities.

Visiting mdf.wikipedia.org pages, however, provides an extensive selection. There are the three above, myv/eng, myv/fin and myv/rus, as well as the necessary mdf/fin dictionary possibility.

On the myv.wikipedia.org pages the plugin does not work.

On the mdf.wikipedia.org pages the plugin does.

Also there seem to be further peculiarities involved: on myv.wikipedia.org pages

... I have similar problems: I do as jaska here, but see the sanit (sme, fin, etc) menu when I click on the Á after having mounted the Muter (or valks) menu.

Hmm, odd. For me, both work, and when I try both myv-X on myv.wikipedia.org, mdf-X on mdf.wikipedia.org, and also an erroneous mix of the two. I tried and got the same result in both Chrome and Firefox 20. However, it might be a browser issue-- what version of Firefox are you using? I'll try to duplicate it with specifically that version.

Ah, another trick-- it might be a result of having several plugins installed simultaneously (thus affecting us unfortunate types who just want to be able to read everything.) I think there's a good chance that the place where I'm storing the dictionary lists in the browser cache may be conflicting, specifically if Trond is seeing sanit dictionaries after clicking on the valks plugin. I will take a look at this, but it will help to know what specific browser versions you both are trying this in.

Safari: Versio 6.0.4 (8536.29.13)

... but yes, indeed. I cleaned the cache, and then Mari and Mordvin content displayed like a dream.

But the issue is not solved:

Error! Could not connect to dictionary server (host: http://valks.oahpa.no). Close.

(Note: it complained about falks (myv) in call for mhr.

Aha, that's something for me to figure out then. I'll try in Safari next-- maybe it's just a problem with some small javascript thing.

I tried to get the same bug in Safari, but it might be the steps that I used to produce it are the problem:

One thing I can do to try to prevent this though, is make sure that the place the options are stored is unique for each plugin. It should be already, but it might not be.

Oho, I think I've figured it out now. Problems may happen if you attempt to use two separate bookmarks on the same page for whatever localStorage is storing things to. I forget how granular localStorage is, but since the problem is that it's loading the wrong config, there's some sort of problem there. I looked at the bookmarklet code, and as it turns out, the storage keys for each instance are the same, meaning that anyone using multiple versions of NDS will have issues... I've changed this to include the hostname of the service in use (sanit.oahpa.no, valks.oahpa.no) in the keys that store the settings, so the problem should go away once the update is made on the server. I would like a little more time of course to test before I deploy it.

No problems.
