My guess is that these are unintended. Apart from some ie + ee compounds hey seem to be a result of Umlaut context across boundaries. The kre + eeredh derivation might be intended, though.

Looking closer at these.

The background is twofold:

a. for the verbs with e-final stem + eeredt suffix:

kreeeredh (to create)

b. (i)e-final nouns + ae-initial words with ee-umlaut

That ban is from a new two-level rule from last week (the last rule in the twol file), which bans #:0 in a V#VV context, where V is either e or a. Only the alternative #:- realisation is thus allowed:

gåetie-eebne gåetie-eebne gåetie+N+SgNomCmp#eebne+N+Sg+Nom gåetie-eebne gåetie+N+SgNomCmp+Hyph#eebne+N+Sg+Nom

This rule should also have covered the other eee cases - there might be contexts we have overlooked.

One question for the normativists (SGM) is how to treat names as below, since they by the present rules will get some forms with obligatory hyphen, and others without hyphen:

Aevjie-eeside vs Aevjieaesie (actually Aevjie^aesie, but that means that the hyphen will only be visible at line ends)

It should probably be like this, with a consequent rule (which then forces some alternation throughout paradigms of compounds like these), rather than the other way around, or a special case for names. But it would probably be good to let SGM decide on the principle.

Nothing is done to be able to analyse non-hyphened forms at the moment, it is left as an exercise for the future. I'll leave the bug open until further testing is done.

I think I found the reason why some aa- and ee- strings don't get hyphenated. Aesie is both noun and propernoun, and I haven't added the filtering to propernouns. I will do it now. It should be included in the next speller version.
