The new MS Office 2011 includes proofing tools for Catalan in the Nordic distribution. This is the language we have disguised North Sámi as, in the lack of proper language support from MS.

There doesn't seem to be any technical issues with having both installed (Word continues to run fine), but I assume the proofing tools behaviour will be unpredictable.

One relatively easy solution could be to just zip up the Catalan tools, and leave them in their original location. A zipped file should not infer with MS Office (I believe, but this is not tested yet), and would leave sme as the only active toolset for "Catalan". This also allows a very simple manual restoration if needed: just double-click.

This is not yet implemented, the bug is created to keep track of the work and the issue.

The installation/deinstallation feature is now implemented, but doesn't yet work as they should. On installation, the Catalan tools are zipped, but not deleted, and upon deinstallation nothing seems to happen with the Catalan tools.

On the other hand, when the Divvun tools are installed, they seem to take precedence. I'll thus lower priority and severity, and leave the issue open for the release.

An old issue that we'll have to look into before releasing the next version. Reduced importance.

There has been no reports of problems with this, and Tino planned to install the Sami languages as proper Sami languages (the language codes are recognised even though the user interface has no way of displaying the language - but that could be circumvented in other ways).

Now it even looks like MS is blocking third party spellers for the newest version of MS Office for Mac.
