Notifier not visible #19

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

I followed the installation process provided on site.
No errors were encountered when building/making the notifier

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Tried searching for it in the widgets panel, but did not find it.

Please provide your KDE and Qt version, your distribution name/version, the
Gmail Notifier's SVN revision you compiled, etc... Any other informations
that you feel could help in solving your issue.

I am using KDE v 4.2.2 and Qt v 4.5.0

cheers

Are you saying you don't see Gmail Notifier in your "Add Applet..." dialog or
is it
something else? Not sure I get it.

Hi thanks for replying.
I noticed that I had used "'" instead of "`" when using cmake. Now I am seeing
the
widget, but when I add it the following text is seen:"This object could not be
created for the following reason: Could not find requested
component:gmailnotifier"

any ideas? Thanks in advance

Honestly I don't know what to answer to your report. If you can build it
without any
error and you can install it too, I don't see any reason for Gmail Notifier to
refuse
to work. Except maybe if there's something else going wrong with your computer?!

Gmail Notifier should be compatible with any KDE version greater than v4.2.0.
What's
happening if you try to compile/install/use another plasmoid?
