The initial framework has only been there nearly a year and a half, but I agree
that it shouldn't derail releasing XSpec 0.3.
My first thought would be for the 'zip' target in the build.xml for the oXygen
framework
(http://code.google.com/p/xspec/source/browse/trunk/editors/oxygen/build.xml)
to zip everything useful from the main directory (which would exclude, e.g.,
the 'editors' subdirectory) into the appropriate subdirectory in the Zip
archive so that a user just has to unzip 'xspec-framework.zip' (as it's
currently known) in their oXygen 'frameworks' directory to have everything in
place.
oXygen has better integration with Ant than it did a year and a half ago, so
there's more that can be done to preconfigure Ant transformation scenarios in
the framework file, but I see that as separate from how to package the
framework so it includes a complete XSpec distribution.
