Agree with the package.json change. I feel like the readme file change could live somewhere else. What about in the skeleton documentation? The reason is that we want to keep that readme small with the bare minimum needed to run the project (it's the projects readme and not the skeleton readme). Details about how to work with it are currently in the documentation.
