Cannot create new/blank document on Windows #173

Describe the bug Clicking on new "Blank", File > New, or Ctrl+N shortcut fails with no errors.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Try creating a new document (Click on "Blank" from home screen, or "File > New" from existing document).

Expected behavior New document appears.
