Using this project since a week, and I love it! Now I can finally and easily send values from my thermostat down the room to the AC, it adds a lot of comfort and less noise (temperature readings by the AC itself were way off which made the AC go in tornado mode to heat the room).

The energy_used sensor provided by MHI-AC-Ctrl-ESPHome cannot be used by the HA energy dashboard, as it doesn't have the correct device_class and state_class defined.
