Hi,

1) What are your current configuration settings for "Tab Width" and "Indent
Width" (Preferences => Document => General)?

2) Are you indenting with Spaces Only, Tabs Only, or mixed spaces and tab
characters?

3) Is any syntax mode active? (i.e. what does it say in the status bar "Plain
Text" or something else?)

If possible please attach an example file that can be used to reproduce this
issue.

thanks

1) config should still be default, i have not changed it
tab width: 8
indent width: 4

2) i am using the tab key to indent, and the use tabs instead of spaces option
is unchecked

3) the status bar does say Plain Text

here is a sample file

Reproduced. Thanks for the information.

Issue appears to be related to the Tab Width vs Indent width settings.

With the Tab Width at 8 and indent width at 4 I can reproduce the issue,
however when changing the tab width to 4 so that it matches the indent width
then the issue is not reproducible. So you may choose to use that setting in
the meantime to work around the issue.

Thanks.

That makes sense, but I wasn't really sure why those options were
different. I just didnt change them from default.
