[BUG] Certain Settings Break Randomly #29

Open MPRATCH-V2 opened 1 month ago

MPRATCH-V2 commented 1 month ago

There are a handful of settings the consistently break for me at the same time and I'm not sure why. I have a fairly large modlist which I'll include at the end for testing/replication purposes.

Settings that consistently break:

  1. Time related settings including timescale and pause time. These options are dim in the menu and I am unable to interact with them when this happens.

  2. Vent timers. I am unable to disable them under the gizmo section. The checkbox has no effect they are permanently enabled.

  3. The main entrance teleport option as well as the apparatus tp option. When they break they become dim like the time related settings.

  4. "Allow Imperium on clients" This one doesn't seem to be linked to the others as it's always broken and the others break in unison. In order to fix this one at the start of every game after everyone connects I flip the toggle on and then off again.

My latest Bepinex log: https://pastebin.com/4txh9MZe

Edit 1: Upon rebooting my game I realized that the time/teleport which become greyed/dimmed randomly are also not available in the ship. I have no modding experience but thought it was worth mentioning as it's possibly an issue of not initializing the map properly or something similar. The only mod I can think of in my pack that may hinder imperium in this aspect would be LethalUtilities with custom map settings. I will look further into this when I have the time.

Edit 2: I tested if settings would break on a pack with only Imperium installed. Settings still broke. I've updated the pastebin log and removed my modlist as it no longer has any bearing.

Thanks for this detailed report, I will look into this. Generally, options that are greyed out, are disabled on purpose. For example, in-game time or the main entrance don't really exist as long as the ship is not landed yet. Therefore, it's not possible to use these settings when in space.
