We should spend some effort connecting up the access controls for the Covalic UI with the access control of the underlying Girder resources, and document this.

I created a challenge in Covalic, which was private by default. I changed this challenge to public. There is a corresponding top level collection in Girder, which still remains private; it's unclear to me what these mean exactly.

On a different challenge I had a phase, the phase was private in Covalic, there was a corresponding phase folder in Girder that was private, and a ground truth child folder of the phase folder, that was also private. There is a participant group corresponding to the phase, which was private. I changed the phase in Covalic to public, but none of the other three linked resources (phase folder, phase ground truth folder, participants group) changed access.

The system is getting mature enough that we should think these through soon--and also decide what is the path to admin these properties. Will we support changing them through Covalic and Girder, or is there one recommended path?

I have no satisfactory decision on how this should be done. Open to suggestions.

Consider using AccessControlledMixin for some Cavalic models.
