Discrepancy between last 2 weeks and last year #8

THIS IS CRITICAL AND NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED / RESOLVED VOLC2 uses two XML files - last 2 weeks, and last year. The former is for speed only and is loaded whenever a new map is loaded. But sometimes it does not contain the correct subset of events from the last year. WHy?
