Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Copy India.map in SDcard/mapsforge
2. Select Mapsforge as tile provider in Navigator application

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Please let me know if I need to buy anything to use OSMBonuspack/OSMdroid
library in enterprise navigator application.

What version of the products are you using (Android SDK, osmdroid,
OSMBonusPack)?
OSMNavigator_v5.0.apk
Android sdk 4.4.2
Osmdroid

Please provide any additional information below.

AFAIK, if we select Mapquest as tile provider, I read that there are
restrictions/license issues to use the same in Enterprise navigation
application. Does the same applies even if we use OSM Standard as tile provider
or we need to create any account to use OSM in an enterprise/closed application?

Please let me know if I need to buy anything to use OSMBonuspack/OSMdroid
library in enterprise navigator application.
=> Nothing to buy. Both have open source licences allowing such usage. You can
even sell your final app, without paying any fee for OSMBonuspack and OSMdroid.

About Tile providers restrictions/licences => Please refer to their licence and
usage policies. These documents are publicly available on the Web.

For OSMBonusPack, dropping a note about your app in
ApplicationsUsingOSMBonusPack Wiki page would be greatly appreciated (consider
this action as the "tribute" for using the lib :-)

OSMBonusPack and osmdroid are native Android libs, written in Java.
They will not work on iOS or Windows 8 phones.
