Git Add causes spinning wheel #937

First, thank you very much for maintaining this great software!

I'm encountering an issue where Git Add, even for small files or single lines on small files, causes the spinning wheel and consistently takes a few seconds using the GUI.

Doing the same Git Add via the command line is instantaneous. I'm on 1.3.5 of GitUp.

The spinner also happens when I switch away from GitUp and try to switch back to GitUp.

I'd be happy to answer any questions if I can help diagnose the issue; I saw #791 #45 #83 which are similar but not the same.

I just took a spindump - I'm not sure how helpful it would be - I'd prefer not to attach it for security/privacy reasons but if I can help look through it to diagnose, please let me know what I would look for?

If you want to attach a sample rather than the entire spin dump that would be helpful. It should only reveal the backtrace of GitUp that way.
