gitana / alpaca

Alpaca provides the easiest way to generate interactive HTML5 forms for web and mobile applications. It uses JSON Schema and simple Handlebars templates to generate great looking, dynamic user interfaces on top of Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery UI, jQuery Mobile and HTML5.

Repo Future? #773

Open devv-guru opened 1 year ago

devv-guru commented 1 year ago

Is this Repo still being maintained and actively developed to keep up with current versions and tech stacks.

Is there a fork that might have been doing active dev?

My company is willing to fund this project. Its been a bit quiet lately.

Hello,

At Cloud CMS, we've been working on a fork of Alpaca that introduces Bootstrap 4/5 support, new icon sets, ES module refactoring, JSON Schema 2020 (7+) support, some new controls, a Webpack 5 build and updated documentation.

It is a significant refactor that removes jQuery as a dependency and renders faster while maintaining backwards compatibility with Alpaca itself. This fork is going to ship with Cloud CMS 4.0 as a commercial component of the offering.

If anyone is interested in collaborating on this fork (in terms of early access, development, licensing or funding), we can be reached using the following form:

Cheers,

Michael
