Hey there @owocki, thank you for the invitation to collaborate in this project! I actually did some pretty heavy research about the topic, listened to the podcast you recommended and read the Meditations on Moloch essay. You'll be able to find a README file in my repository where I talk about a little bit more in depth about the background that inspired this illustration:
https://github.com/daniniguez/gitcoinbot-vs-moloch-artwork/blob/master/README.md
I wanted to hear about your thoughts on the illustration I've been working on as per your instructions and see if its going on the right track:
And a framed version:
This is my contribution to this project, hope you like it! :D Waiting for feedback :3
hello, @owocki I want to know you I want to know your opinion about this one. thank you.
thx @Duniaman
thx @bocster ; whats the reasoning behind the rocket there?
@melvinalvarez coming along!! what is the blue/green mesh piece?
It's supposed to be a grid world / cyberspace illustration - I actually made a submission earlier this week (*updated preview attached) lmk what you think!
feretpatrolbot and Leshnerbot
really got to get off my laptop, looks completely diff on a desktop
PNG: SVG: Gitcoin_VS_Moloch.zip High PNG: gitcoin_moloch.zip
(before & after illustration story) the final battle between moloch and Gitcoin robot is about to end, moloch fired his ultimate attack and burned everything around, Gitcoin robot get seriously damaged and about to collapse, then a bright light shines in the sky, it's the public goods justice league, and then "TRANSFORMATION", all the public goods gathered and fused with the Gitcoin robot and transformed into the Ultimate Gitcoin Robot "its time to end this Moloch, there is no failure in my dictionary ", a condensed energy gathered in the two hands of the Gitcoin robot, "Light Atomic Blast", a huge energic light hits moloch and turn him into dust and made the darkness disappear. finally, the world return to peace.

i dunno if i am doing the right thing but I am having fun. I just want to make a kudos.. i like collecting them :)
@owocki had to buy a new version of photoshop and illustrator. Svg files...i have fallen down a rabbit hole, it is a deep hole... how svg do you want these files?
hey all; wow looks like there was some action here over the weekend.
will review these 1 by 1 later in the day. for now, pls dont make multiple submissions! one really good submission > multiple submissions.
2 more days!! lets get final submissions in by 11/25
@bocsta interesting direction. its fun; is the J moloch?
@L-KH looks interesting; looking fwd to seeing it refined a bit more + the final version!
@bocsta are those monsters moloch!?? i think its cool you illustrated the characters in the PBJL; i wonder what one great piece of collateral would look like as opposed to several pieces of collateral
@melvinalvarez sweet; looks like its coming along
@azizyano i like the direction. the gitcoin bot looks like a ninja!
@gabisakita looks cool! the art style kind of reminds me of a cartoon (which makes moloch not that scary), but it works! its a whole world :)
@daniniguez thanks for the write up; you really did your homework! is there any way we could make the baddie look more like moloch? idk if people will get it the way it is tho
here is my work submission, hope you like it :)
hehe gitcoinbot v moloch in space. intersting!
My submission hope you like it @owocki

@owocki i hear you, one Better than many. Yeh they are all diff interpretations of moloch. I think I know the direction I need to go in. Thanks for making it fun. Pulling out the old arty thing has been therapeutic. If nothing comes of it maybe I can make my first NFT's with the scraps :)
@owocki
I hope you like it.

@owocki The second part of the Public Goods Justice League image vs. Moloch image I sent in that first pull request. Let me know what ya think!
Here's the first one again since the original submission is attached to that old pull request. ;)
Hey @owocki! Thanks a lot for your feedback.
...you really did your homework!
Totally, I really enjoy doing research! I try to get a real good sense of what is that I am working on so I can feel as confortable and confident as possible while running through design ideas and the creative process.
...is there any way we could make the baddie look more like moloch?
I worked through some ideas along the day, and came up with a more moloch lookalike baddie as per your recommendations:
If at all possible, I would appreciate some final thoughts!
@bollattime interesting approach! the one thing that is a bit worrisome is that the moloch monster is a diff style than the bots (diff level of detail + line weights)
@elliottjobmann cool!
@daniniguez thx i like the direction this is going
@owocki
Thanks for the feedback. I made it better with a few line changes. I think this is the best form.
Here is a preview of my submission - thanks for the feedback

I would like to create a series of iamges of Gitcoinbots fighting Moloch (Moloch is the god of coordination failure, the god of problems -- like cancer, arms races, underfunding of open source software, overfishing, etc). I recently did a podcast about why this is Ethereums most important mission - to create the sword that will slay moloch.
i want to do a series of illustrations of the public goods justice league (all the brands pictured on gitcoin.co/grants in the header) fighting moloch.
Details of this bounty:
I will take the best of these images and post them to the Gitcoin twitter during Gitcoin Grants Round 8 starting December 8th. The main goal of this campaign is.
I will offer UP TO 200 DAI per image that is accepted into the campaign; up to 7 images (one per person). If you do not put the time in (or do not have the skill) to make the image a high quality image, that we would be proud to use on twitter, you will not get the full amount. The goal of this is quality > quantity. Please DO NOT submit copyrighted material. The final amount is up to my discretion, if you have questions about whether you're on the right track, pls PM me on Gitcoin chat.
