200 DAI - 1st Place
100 DAI - 2nd Place
50 DAI - 3rd Place
25 DAI - All additional eligible submissions
Challenge Description
This prize goes to the teams who show the most hustle early on in the NYBW Virtual Hackathon.
Gitcoin is hosting a NYBW Virtual Hackathon Mid-Hack Hustle video call during Gitcoin's Weekly Livestream on Friday, May 15th 2:00-3:30 EST. We will invite hackers to tell the community about their project, talk about their progress, show early demos, and request help from fellow hackers and sponsors.
The teams who post their project's progress on the NYBW Virtual Hackathon Town Square and present on the Mid-Hack Hustle video call showing a combination of the most progress and an interesting project concept will win the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and additional prizes accordingly.
Submission Requirements
To be eligible for this prize your team must post a project update on the NYBW Virtual Hackathon Town Square before the call with the hashtag "#midhack", then join the Mid-Hack Hustle video call and give a brief presentation on your project, showing a demo of any functioning software or completed content done up until that point. The amount of time available for each presentation will depend on the number of participants, but please plan for around 3-5 minutes for your presentation.
The project must be created for another sponsored prize in the NYBW Virtual Hackathon, and at least one teammate must "start work" for that prize.
IMPORTANTIf you'd like to present your progress so far on this call and claim your 25 DAI (or more!), please book yourself a 5 minutes slot using this link:
Submission Deadline
Friday, May 15th, 2020, before the Mid-Hack Hustle call. Note that your team does not have to formally "Submit Work" early on sponsor's prize to be eligible - you'll still have more time in the hack to build your project, so keep it up!
Judging Criteria
The Gitcoin core team will judge the winning project based on two equally-weighted criteria:
~Project progress (how much research, completed code/content, and demonstrable functionality can be shown?)
~Interesting project (how novel, useful, and relevant to decentralized finance is the project?)
