SXSW hackathon - Build A Bounties Platform #2

Open vs77bb opened 6 years ago

Context

This is an SXSW Bounties Track issue.

Per 'Integrating Standard Bounties', the Bounties.network is meant to be bounties for any knowledge work task. Gitcoin is bounties / incentivization for open source software.

image

Must be deployed to mainnet by the end of the hackathon. Must solve a (perceived) real world issue

What

We would like to incentivize you, as a member of the Gitcoin/Bounties family, to create a new vertical off of StandardBounties. We will be awarding the best submission for this task a 1 ETH prize, assuming the below requirements are met.

Our Ideas

Code Mentorship Bounties

It'd be great to see a site where people who perform some coding mentorship task receive some amount of ETH as a prize.

Kind of like Google Helpouts, but on the blockchain :)

Information Bounties

In the 21st century, information is power. Let people put bounties on research & information gathering.

Design Bounties

It'd be great to see a site where people who perform some design task receives some amount of ETH as a prize

Translation Bounties

It'd be great to see a site where people who perform a translation (or transcription) task receives some amount of ETH as a prize

Bounty

Subject to the discretion of the Gitcoin team: .7 ETH first prize

Work has been started on the 0.7 ETH (295.63 USD @ $422.33/ETH) funding by:

  1. @zachgoll

Please work together and coordinate delivery of the issue scope. Gitcoin doesn't know enough about everyones skillsets / free time to say who should work on what, but we trust that the community is smart and well-intentioned enough to work together. As a general rule; if you start work first, youll be at the top of the above list ^^, and should have 'dibs' as long as you follow through.

On the above list? Please leave a comment to let the funder (@owocki) and the other parties involved what you're working, with respect to this issue and your plans to resolve it. If you don't leave a comment, the funder may expire your submission at their discretion.

The funding of 0.7 ETH (383.31 USD @ $547.59/ETH) attached to this issue has been killed by the bounty submitter

I worked on a service that uses Standard Bounties for musicians during the Hackathon. We didn't think we'd be eligible because we didn't deploy it to the mainnet before the end of the hackathon but one of the guys from our team said he reached out to Consensys and that we were still eligible. I haven't worked with Gitcoin before so I'm not sure how the submission process works but it seemed like this one had been closed.
