hey all,

gitcoin has a few open positions (https://gitcoin.co/jobs), and we'd like to hire people who have found gitcoin via the community.

to participate:

  1. get the gitcoinco/web repo running on your local machine.
  2. submit work by posting (a) a screenshot running locally with the site in frame, whilst logged in from your github username (b) linking your resume
    (c) writing a paragraph (3-4 sentences) about what about the gitcoin mission inspires you.

i will pay the first 10 people who do this! deadline is 10/15.

Gitcoin has brought in a unique proposition of incentivising the community to create and manage public goods. It take collaboration to the next level by connecting the needs of community. What I like most is that it empowers everyone to be part of such a powerful ecosystem like a win-win situation for all who are involved.

(C) What inspires me?

I am new to Gitcoin and the thing that inspired me the most is being able to work for the open source. Being a new member to the open source community, contributing to open source seems unfathomable. But the way Gitcoin solves this problem is amazing. I feel confident to being able to contribute to the community mostly because I have peers working on the same task and I hope I can improve over time and work on more complex contributions.

Gitcoin has provided an easy way for talent and talent seekers to team up. It has created a powerful ecosystem that has the potential to power the growth of technology. It inspires me because of how accessible and simple it is.

(A) Capture d'écran Deepin_zone de sélection _20210929224801 (B) resume.pdf (C) I believe the current model of gitcoin, that allow people to participated to opensourceproject in a decentralised way while getting a remuneration, is a step into offering more freedom to developpers (You can participate and show your talent without having to go through social validation), and allow projects to gather the help they might need. It is a step towards a more free internet. This is what inspire me with it.

What inspires me ?

I learned a lot through Gitcoin Quest, There are no match of Gitcoin in terms of opportunity for developers. Web3 is right now, and is the future. As I'm a final year undergrad , i want my future in building web3 and i'm on the way. Gitcoins provide a way to start learning and building on different Blockchain Applications(inderiectly but there are many people who are building on a blockchain right now that they get introduced by gitcoin.) because of the community, the cocepts, the way people are easily finding work that they even didn't know how much they are good at it. For me Gitcoin has contributed a lot in my learning and developmemnt.

A really interesting platform I'm still exploring (I found it 2 days ago). To me, it looks like a platform for challenging tasks where you can show your skills without annoying/boring interview

I love working on open source projects but the problem is it doesn't provide an incentive to developers but Gitcoin gives us the opportunity to do with we (developers) love and earn money from it.

After setting up Github OAuth2 App Integration and User Integration, login finally works! ;)

Gitcoin is a great way to connect people, getting into new projects, learn and supporting the open source community! Using contests and paying for selected solutions is a really great way to do it. This inspired me a lot and put me in a new direction, getting into new projects and find additional motivation. Besides this, i think web3 will play a big role in the future! Big UP!

Gitcoin help me learn a lot about the world of cryptocurrency, DAO, web3 and whatsoever, i recently win hackathon in gitcoin as well, so that also help me a lot to learn more about off-chain voting, i win snapshot plugin bounty btw and because of that i really intrigued to learn more about DAO and web3 in general, i also love gitcoin grants basically, even though i still haven't get funded but i will make sure in december 1st when the grants is open again im gonna make something useful for community
